Carey and I first met when we were suitemates at Bromley Hall and Marie and Karen first met at FAR dorm at the University of Illinois and we have been best friends ever since. In 1974, we were married one week apart. Carey was a unique individual, blending friendliness, extreme intelligence, understanding, intellectual curiosity, and an interesting sense of humor. We will never forget all of the good times we celebrated in the past and the many RSNA’s we enjoyed together. Carey will be missed as the closest of friends, an excellent partner to Karen, a wonderful father and grandfather, and mostly as the kind of person that we all aspire to be. You departed this earth far too soon and you will always be in our hearts and memories.
Love always,
Mark and Marie

Carey,
You (and of course Karen) were Andy’s/our first and dearest friends upon our arrival to Ann Arbor. We are honored and blessed that our friendship blossomed to being part of an ‘extended family’ and share our many joys and simchas and RSNA gatherings together. We will always cherish this relationship, your wit, smile, approach to ‘patient centered health care’, mentor role for staff, hearing about your many interests in music, wine, finance, and ‘the Cubbies’. You’ve indeed left a great legacy to your children, those you’ve encountered in your life, and this world. May you be at peace.

Dr.Weiss was a great mentor to me. He had talk me everything I know about breast ultrasound. He really cared about all of us girls at Mercy hospital,we were like family. I remember when I was learning ultrasound,he had told me to go in the room and find that mass and don’t come out until you find it. { LOL} I loved his sense of humor. I feel blessed to have worked with him. RIP Dr. Weiss
